sassastatuscheckza.com is an independent information website for people in South Africa who receive a SASSA social grant, or who want to apply for one.
We explain, in plain language, how to check your SRD R370 status, when grants are paid, what each status means and how to appeal.
What we do
- Explain SASSA processes step by step, in simple English.
- Share payment dates once SASSA has confirmed them.
- Explain what each status and decline reason means, and what to do next.
- Warn readers about scams that target grant beneficiaries.
What we do not do
- We are not SASSA, and this is not a government website.
- We cannot approve, decline or pay a grant.
- We cannot see or change your application, your status or your banking details.
- We never ask for your ID number, bank PIN, card number or OTP.
- We never charge a fee.
How we keep our information accurate
- We check facts against official sources: sassa.gov.za, srd.sassa.gov.za, and announcements from SASSA and the Department of Social Development.
- We do not guess. If SASSA has not confirmed a date, we say so.
- We update our guides when amounts, rules or dates change.
- If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will correct it.
